Christina Martin joined the Law School as a Research Assistant following the completion of her LLM in Criminology and Criminal Justice from University College Dublin.

Christina Martin graduated from University College Dublin in 2009 with a BBL in Business and Law. She spent the next two years living and working in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In 2011 she returned to University College Dublin and completed an LLM in Criminology and Criminal Justice, with a thesis on the role played by female terrorists within contemporary terrorist organisations. During this time she held the position of Research and Communications Intern with the Irish Penal Reform Trust and taught international law graduates in University College Dublin’s Applied Language Centre. She came to Birmingham in September 2012 as Research Assistant to the Law School.
Christina’s research interests centre upon the interaction of women within the criminal justice system with particular emphasis upon discrimination via gender, ethnicity and religious beliefs.
