The Physics Sports Bursary is awarded in recognition of sporting talent to undergraduate students within the School, and to encourage them to continue to pursue their interest while studying at the University. This scholarship is renewable for each year depending on academic performance.
It is possible to apply for both the University of Birmingham Sports Scholarships and the Physics Sport Bursary, though the Physics School Bursary will not be awarded to someone already receiving a University of Birmingham Sport or TASS scholarship.
Value of Award
This scholarship is valued at up to £800 per year and is awarded for the duration of undergraduate study, subject to the recipient maintaining predetermined academic and sporting standards. This funding can be put towards any sports or training related costs (e.g. gym membership, tournament expenses, coaching, or equipment).
The Physics Sports Bursary is open to all sports people who have applied to study an undergraduate programme within the School of Physics & Astronomy.
