We have a long tradition of welcoming students from Poland. There are currently 133 Polish students following a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University.

Holders of the Matura / Swiadectwo Dojrzalosci (Secondary School Certificate) will be considered with the following grade equivalencies: 

A*AA - 90%, 85%, 85% (extended level subjects) plus 75% overall 
AAA - 85%, 85%, 85% (extended level subjects) plus 75% overall 
AAB - 85%, 85%, 80% (extended level subjects) plus 70% overall 
ABB - 85%, 80%, 80% (extended level subjects) plus 70% overall 
BBB - 80%, 80%, 80% (extended level subjects) plus 70% overall 

Subject specific requirements at extended level: 
A* - 90% 
A - 85% 
B - 80%


Holders of a good post-2001 Licencjat / Inzynier (Bachelors degree), or a pre-2001 Magister, from a recognised Polish university, with a minimum overall grade of 4.5/4+ out of 5, dobry plus ‘better than good’ for 2:1 equivalence, or 4 out of 5, dobry 'good' for 2:2 equivalence, will be considered for entry to taught postgraduate programmes. 

Holders of a good pre-2001 Magister from a recognised Polish university with a minimum overall grade of 4 out of 5, dobry ‘good’, and/or a good Swiadectwo Ukonczenia Studiów Podyplomowych (Certificate of Postgraduate Study) or post-2001 Magister from a recognised Polish university with a minimum overall grade of 4.5/4+ out of 5, dobry plus 'better than good', will be considered for entry to postgraduate research programmes.

English Language

You will be required to provide evidence of your English ability. Please view the entry requirements for specific programme requirements.

If you do not have the required level of English or would like to improve your English before the start of the academic year, you can take one of our pre-sessional English language courses.

Undergraduate and postgraduate EU students (subject to meeting the eligibility criteria) starting their studies in 2018 or 2019 can apply for government loans for the duration of their course.
