I chose to study Nuclear Engineering because ever since I was, I’d say when I’d just left school I’ve always been interested in nuclear fusion, how they can relate to like power reduction in the future prospects and Birmingham offered this course and then I thought it was absolutely perfect for me, absolutely great, and all the modules we’re doing, it just seems amazing so I chose that one and yeah, that was one of the main reasons why I chose it.
I chose Birmingham for three reasons. The first reason is the city. I come from a small town and to come to a big city, I’ve always dreamed of doing it, I’ve always wanted to live in a big city. The second reason is the campus itself, the beauty and all the red bricks and all the way the Chancellor’s Court is laid out. And the third reason is you get one to one tuition with a person actively in your field once a week. Like my tutor is a Nuclear Physicist and I guess that resonates with my degree and my interests of nuclear as well.
When I graduate I want to study for a PhD in Nuclear Fusion, how we can bring fusion technology to a power production facility and I want to preferably – well so far, I want to study in America but that’s four years away and anything could happen between now and four years. So I’m really looking forward to it.
