Halloween Ghost Tours of Campus

Thursday 28 October

University of Birmingham campus

Tours will run at 17.00 BST or 18.30 BST - please choose on booking

We’re delighted to invite you back to the University of Birmingham campus on Thursday 28 October for a series of spooky stories from the history of the University.  Our fantastic Drama students will be transformed into ghoulish guides for a tour filled with terrors and tales. On a dark night, let us enlighten some of the mysterious and shadowy parts of the campus and show them to you in a whole new light. Learn about characters with a deep connection to campus, including a Great War nurse, our mermaid mascot and even some ancient Roman history.

Walking tours begin at the base of Old Joe Clock at either 17:00 or 18:30.

This tour is suitable for families with children aged 8+ with some scary moments, but plenty of tricks and treats. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

These are walking tours for small groups, which will take place mainly outdoors.

Things may go bump in the night, but we don’t want them to be you, so please wear sensible shoes and suitable outdoor clothing for October evening weather. There are uneven paving stones, and two short staircase. Please contact us by email prior to booking if you have any questions about access. Tours will still go ahead in the rain.

Halloween costumes are very much encouraged. Spaces are strictly limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Full information about the evening, including meeting points, transport tips and car parking will be emailed to you the week before the event.

In the meantime, if you have any questions please contact Sarah Kennedy alumnievents@contacts.bham.ac.uk
