"Dubai has a very international environment - you get to meet many people from different walks of life. The campus at Dubai is very nice and provides a good environment to study with numerous student study spaces."

Why did you apply to study Computer Science at the University of Birmingham Dubai?

I chose to study Computer Science at UoBD because of the interesting topics covered in the modules, the ranking of the University and the environment of the University and how great the communication is between the staff and students. The help we get from the teachers was also a factor.

What has your experience been like so far at UoBD?

It has been amazing, the people are very nice and welcoming (both from Dubai campus and UK campus). Even during corona times, the help we are getting from the professors has been amazing and we can contact them via many means. Socials conducted by numerous clubs have helped me meet new people and learn more about them.

What is the best thing about studying at UoBD and Dubai more generally?

Dubai has a very international environment - you get to meet many people from different walks of life. The campus at Dubai is very nice and provides a good environment to study with numerous student study places. Personally, when I feel like taking a break from studying, I just go for a walk which is an experience in itself due to the amazing weather Dubai provides and its exotic location to have fun!
