Award value: Up to 30% per year
Award details: This scholarship recognises high-achieving students and is awarded based on predicted and/or final grades submitted with the application. The award is applied to each year of undergraduate study.

Alumni Scholarship
Alumni Scholarship
Award value: AED 5,000 additional in year one
Award details: This scholarship offers an additional AED 5,000 award for the first year of study to Birmingham alumni and their families.
Eligibility:
Available to graduates of the University of Birmingham and their immediate family members (spouse, siblings, or children).
Additional information:
- A copy of the alum's University of Birmingham degree certificate is required; please ensure you upload this to the application portal. No separate scholarship application is required.
- This scholarship may be combined with the Chancellor’s Academic Merit Scholarship or Chancellor’s Postgraduate Academic Merit Scholarship, where eligible.

Corporate Scholarship
Corporate Scholarship
Award value: Up to 30% dependent on partnership
Award details: This scholarship is available to current employees of selected corporate partners of the University of Birmingham Dubai, including Dubai Police, RTA, and Al-Futtaim Education.
Eligibility: It applies to both undergraduate and postgraduate taught students and is awarded based on the terms of the specific partnership.

- Proof of employment, such as a valid employee ID card, is required. Please ensure you upload this to the application portal; no separate scholarship application is required.
- This scholarship is stand-alone and cannot be combined with any other award.

Jinan University – University of Birmingham Joint Scholarship
Jinan University – University of Birmingham Joint Scholarship
Award value: Up to 30% per year
Award details: This scholarship is available to students graduating from the Jinan University – University of Birmingham Joint Institute (JBJI) in Guangzhou. The award ranges from 25% to 30% per year, depending on the final grades submitted with the application, and is applied to each year of postgraduate study.

- Available exclusively to graduates of the Jinan University – University of Birmingham Joint Institute (JBJI) in Guangzhou.

Secure Your Spot Scholarship
Secure Your Spot Scholarship
Award value: Additional 10% in year one
Award details: This scholarship offers a 10% award for the first year of study to students based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who obtain a conditional offer and submit their deposit (with only final grades pending) by 30 June 2026 for the September 2026 intake. A revised deadline will apply for applicants intending to start in January 2027.
Eligibility: Available to students residing in the UAE who hold a conditional offer and submit their deposit by the stated deadline, with final grades still pending.
Additional information:
- Proof of UAE residency is required (Emirates ID and/or residency permit). Please ensure you upload this to the application portal; no separate scholarship application is required.
- This scholarship may be combined with the Chancellor’s Undergraduate Academic Merit Scholarship or Chancellor’s Postgraduate Academic Merit Scholarship, where eligible.
- Details of the revised deadline for January 2027 applicants will be published closer to the time

I am absolutely delighted to have been awarded the Chancellor’s Scholarship as I embark on this new career path which will enable me to give a little back to future generations. To be able to do this through a global top 100 and elite UK Russell Group university here in Dubai is, indeed, a wonderful opportunity that I am very much looking forward to.
How to receive a scholarship
Scholarships are automatically reviewed and awarded after a prospective applicant receives and accepts a Conditional Offer from the University of Birmingham Dubai and satisfies their deposit payment condition of 5,000 AED.
A separate scholarship application is not required. All offers are reviewed for scholarship eligibility, subject to the completion of the deposit payment.
General terms and conditions
- A student must receive an offer for entry to a full or part-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme to be eligible for a scholarship
- You must click on ‘accept’ on your offer to indicate you are interested in joining and pay the deposit by the date mentioned in your offer letter. Your scholarship award will then be issued within 10 working days via email
- A student must be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship to receive the scholarship
- Scholarships cannot be deferred and will not apply to any re-sit exams
- Scholarships are non-negotiable and once issued will be final
- Scholarships are reviewed on an individual basis, and once issued, will be final and non-negotiable
- Scholarships once issued must remain confidential
- Scholarships cannot be combined unless specified

Scholarships that apply to all years of study also cover the exchange year at our Edgbaston (UK) campus. Please note, this does not apply to courses that require you to complete additional years of study at the Edgbaston (UK) campus:
