A day in my life

A typical day in my student life is quite balanced. I start the morning with lectures or seminars for my Business Management with Marketing course, where we discuss case studies and real-world marketing examples. Between classes, I usually grab a coffee or lunch with friends on campus.

In the afternoon, I often hang out with friends. We might study together, go out to eat, or explore somewhere new. Evenings are usually for relaxing, catching up on light coursework, or spending time with friends before getting ready for the next day.

Why Birmingham Dubai?

I chose the University of Birmingham Dubai because it offered the best of both worlds — a Russell Group university experience and the chance to study in Dubai, where my family lives. It felt like the perfect fit since I could get a globally recognised UK degree while staying close to home. I was also drawn to the University’s strong reputation, supportive environment, and modern campus.

I chose to live and study in Dubai because it’s an exciting city with so much to do and experience. I love how there’s always something happening — from going to Dubai Mall and exploring new restaurants to spending time at the beach or trying new activities. It’s a safe, diverse, and vibrant place to live, and being surrounded by so many cultures makes studying here even more enjoyable.

I didn’t attend any Open Days, but I did visit the University of Birmingham Dubai campus once with my family. Seeing the campus in person really helped me get a feel for the environment and confirmed that it was the right place for me.

Why I chose to study Business Management with Marketing at Birmingham Dubai

I chose to study Business Management with Marketing because I’ve always been interested in how brands connect with people and how creative ideas can drive business success. Marketing allows me to combine creativity with strategy, which really excites me.

The course at Birmingham stood out because it covers both the business foundations and the modern marketing aspects, helping me build the skills I need for my future career in the marketing industry.

My Birmingham Dubai experience

My student experience at the University of Birmingham Dubai has been really enjoyable. I love the balance between studying and social life — attending lectures, working on group projects, and spending time with friends around campus.

The community is friendly and supportive, and there’s always something happening, from student events to club activities. Outside of class, I enjoy hanging out with friends, going out to eat, or visiting places. The modern campus and relaxed environment make it a great place to study and connect with people from different backgrounds.

Advice for students

My advice would be to enjoy your time and not stress too much about assignments. Stay on top of your work, but also make time to hang out with friends and experience everything the University and Dubai have to offer — it goes by faster than you think!
