Why Birmingham Dubai?

I chose the University of Birmingham Dubai for my studies because of its academic reputation, comprehensive marketing curriculum, and strong industry connections.

The academic environment and teaching quality in the Marketing programme was exceptional. The professors were highly knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, fostering engaging discussions and encouraging critical thinking. The curriculum was well-designed, offering a balance between theoretical concepts and practical applications relevant to the field.

Why I chose to study Marketing

I wanted to formalise and expand my practical experience. I started my career as a Medical Representative in a pharmaceutical company and then took the career leader of being a Senior Medical Representative before entering into the marketing industry.

I worked for one year as a Marketing Research Specialist and then shifted into an Associate Product Manager. I completed 2 years as an Associate Product Manager before taking the role of a Product Manager.

My Birmingham Dubai experience

Support from professors and academic advisors

The professors and academic advisors at the University were highly accessible and supportive throughout my studies. They maintained an open-door policy, providing one-on-one guidance whenever needed, whether for coursework or general academic advice.

Balancing work and studies

During my studies, I faced the challenge of overlapping business trips with course modules at Birmingham. I communicated with professors who provided flexible arrangements such as online support sessions. This allowed me to stay on track with coursework despite travel commitments.

My journey from Birmingham Dubai

The degree greatly contributed to my current role as Product Manager, providing essential knowledge in marketing strategies, consumer behaviour, and digital marketing. This enabled me to develop effective product strategies, understand customer needs, and leverage digital channels for product promotion.
