In this conversation, Rose Whyman and Michael Toolan will discuss the theme of life and death in Anton Chekhov's major plays and stories and Chekhov's own life and death, the circumstances of which have been inspirational for a number of other authors.

This event is presented by English, Drama, American and Canadian Studies (EDACS), in partnership with Cultural Engagement, as part of Arts & Science Festival 2014, a week-long celebration of ideas, research and collaboration across campus.
