Almost 30 years ago a group of activists came together with one aim: to open a centre for black lesbians and gay men. Against the backdrop of 1980s politics, the rise of Thatcherism, and HIV, they started their journey...Under Your Nose is a documentary dedication to those trailblazers who working in hostile and often dangerous times, offered hope and a lifeline to many others. Their legacy is still apparent today.
This is a joint Black Ethnic Minorities Association (BEMA) and African Caribbean Society (ACS) event.
