BHM2019 - Let's Talk About Race: Short Story Competition

The theme of this year’s short story competition is “Let’s Talk About Race…” and we are inviting you to submit a short story about this topic. Your story is a chance to be creative and can be factual or fiction, funny or serious, but no more than 800 words!

You can submit your work under the following categories: Under 12s, 13s-17s and over 18s. When submitting your short story please include the title, your name, age, email address, and a contact number and send it to Beverley Maynard at the following email address: b.p.maynard@bham.ac.uk. Short stories need to be sent by Wednesday 23rd October by 16.30.

Prizes will be awarded for the best short story in each age category.
