The partition of India in 1947 resulted in the formation of two nations - India and Pakistan. An extract of the film 'The Reality of Partition' will be shown and followed by discussions around race, class and gender, and politics since independence. An expert panel includes those who experienced the divide and they will share their stories of conflict and hardship.
