In celebration of Black History month, we are delighted to have Professor Calvin Moorley, (Professor of Diversity and Social Justice, London South Bank University) do a Q&A session with UoB nursing students following a screening of his lecture, Is racism killing nurses?, which was the Mary Seacole Memorial lecture at RCN congress in September.

Professor Moorley has been a Senior Lecturer in adult nursing and has an academic background in public health and health promotion. He is a registered nurse (Adult) and practices in intensive care therapy. His research focuses on the interplay of gender, culture ethnicity and health. He is also holder of the Mary Seacole Award for Leadership in Nursing.

All students and staff from the School of Nursing will be most welcome to this event, and we hope that students will use the opportunity to ask lots of questions.
