Energy Levels, Relationships and Autism - in conversation with Helen Coy

Location
Law Lecture 3 / Online
Dates
Thursday 1 December 2022 (15:00-16:00)

In this interview, Participation Development Manager at University of Birmingham Sport & Fitness, Helen Coy, reflects on her own experiences of education, work, and a self-pursued late-diagnosis. She will explore and describe the skills she developed to navigate systems and attitudes that weren’t always built with an appreciation of neurodivergence.

She has studied and worked at the University of Birmingham in various departments since 2006, and whilst recognising that all autistic experience is different for each individual, this session will have lived examples, suggestions and anecdotes to help everyone make their time at UoB happier and more inclusive for all.

Helen will also be participating in a live Q&A, so join us with your questions and help us grow understanding between the neurotypical and neurodivergent worlds!

This event will be held both in-person and online. For online tickets, a Zoom link will be distributed 24 hours prior to the event. For in-person bookings, the venue will be Law Lecture 3, 1st Floor, Law Building, Edgbaston Campus, University of Birmingham.
