Dr Kenneth Humphreys (1916-1995) was the University of Birmingham’s Librarian, 1952-1975. He was fascinated by the study of handwriting and amassed a collection of manuscripts from formal texts to schoolboy notes, spanning eight centuries. In this introductory talk, Anne George (Archivist) will shed light on some of the fascinating manuscripts and artefacts in the Humphreys Bequest collection held at the Cadbury Research Library.
