In this Contemporary Philosophy of Technology Research Group seminar, Professor Ursula Huws from the University of Hertfordshire will discuss the restructuring of capitalism currently under way, the role of the adoption of new technologies in this restructuring and the implications for the global division of labour.

Professor Huws will look in particular at two key trends: firstly the use of technologies (including AI) in automating existing jobs; and secondly the commodification processes that generate new kinds of employment.

This is a free event - all welcome.
