What can we learn from looking at lungs? What can they tell us about the way we live and breathe? Join anatomist and broadcaster Alice Roberts for this live drawing workshop in the atmospheric setting of The Exchange Banking Hall.

Through observation and drawing you’ll learn more about the anatomy of human lungs and start to notice shapes, textures and colours that you can use in your own artistic creations. All levels of drawing ability are welcome at this workshop. Materials will be provided.

This activity is presented as part of The Air We Breathe, a public programme at The Exchange, with an exhibition, activities and events that explore the close relationships between us, our environment and our air quality. From a hydrogen train to a sci-fi forest, discover the work being done by the University of Birmingham to deliver clean air both here in Birmingham and around the world and how you can get involved.
