Global Migration Governance after the High Level Dialogue

Professor Francois Crepeau, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants

Professor Crepeau was appointed to the UN in 2011 and is also the Hans & Tamar Oppenheimer Professor in Public International Law at the Faculty of Law of McGill University, Canada. He is widely published in the area of global migration and his current research includes migration control mechanisms, the rights of foreigners, the conceptualization of security as it applies to migrants, and the Rule of Law in the face of globalization.

In this lecture - part of the esteemed Leaders in Law Series - Professor Crepeau will talk about his recent visits to and report on the EU in terms of migration policies and detention facilities.

In addition to this lecture, Professor Crepeau is participating in a prestigious workshop, hosted by the University's Institute of Advanced Studies.
