Rock Stars!

Do not miss our musical ‘Rock Stars’ family fun day on the 21st of August!

Enjoy an immersive sonic exploration of the sounds of rocks combined with digital technology processes with a performance by Kelly Jayne Jones.

Join Kelly in a friendly and fun drop in workshop to explore the sounds of amplified rocks.

  • 11:00 & 13:00 Story Time (all ages) [Active Earth Gallery]
  • 11:30 & 14:30 ‘Unearthing Ancient Sounds’ An immersive performance by Kelly Jayne Jones. (all ages) [Main Gallery]
  • 12:30-14:00 & 15:30-16:30 Drop-in Musical Workshop Join musician Kelly and have a go at making your own ancient sounds using rocks! (all ages) [Education Room]

Throughout the day:

  • Museum Trail (all ages)[Pick up a trail at Museum reception]

All our activities are free of charge and first come first served - there is no need to book.
