Main Library

The Main Library houses key texts for taught courses and research material for all aspects of Education, focusing on material for the four research groups within the School 

  • Disability, Inclusion and Special Needs
  • Education and Social Justice
  • Language Discourse and Society
  • Professional Learning and Development

We also hold an eclectic collection of Education pamphlets which are currently being catalogued and added to the online catalogue. This collection mostly contains material from the 1940s through to the 1970s and contains some diverse material, from inaugural lectures at various Schools of Education across the country to paraphernalia from the Scout movement.

Orchard Learning Resource Centre

Some Education research material can also be found in the Orchard Learning Resource Centre (OLRC) in Selly Oak.

Special Collections

If you wish to carry out historical research into education, the Cadbury Research Library: Special Collections holds a number of nineteenth- and twentieth-century archive collections available for research. These include records of Westhill College, the British Association of Teachers of the Deaf, and the Church Missionary Society archive.
