'International Research Colloquium 'Sustainability, Entrepreneurial Marketing and Marketing Practice in SMEs''

Contemporary marketplaces have radically changed, creating paradigm shifts in research which closely engage with entrepreneurship, innovation and marketing as forceful drivers of change. This colloquium encourages debate between researchers, entrepreneurs and policy makers who engage with the new challenges for entrepreneurs and the growing firm in a global climate with increasing market, business and financial constraints.

Keynote speakers include:

Dragon’s Den Winners - Neil Westwood, CEO of Magic Whiteboards Ltd

Neil will tell their story and the insights into their Worcester based successful high growth company and the challenges which lie ahead in the future.

Kaye Nightingale, Microsoft Master Trainer & Professional Development Coach

Kaye will offers insights and powerful successful strategies for entrepreneurs and the use of social media, to grow business.

Dr Julia Wolny, e-Marketing SIG Chair (Academy of Marketing), University of Southampton

Julia will discuss critical research viewpoints relating to the use of social media for in particular, small businesses.

Research papers will be presented throughout the day on the themes of e-marketing and use of social media for SMEs; entrepreneurial marketing; branding in SMEs; business support and social enterprise development.

A full list of double blind peer reviewed papers and presenters will be made available shortly.

Everyone with an interest in small business enterprise is welcome.

Colloquium Fee

The fee for the Colloquium will be £50 for members of the Academy of Marketing, £30 for doctoral students and £70 for non-members. For information on joining the Academy of Marketing, please see the main website.
Payment may be made through the University’s online payment system.
The fee includes refreshments and lunch.

There will be a joint SIG dinner on the evening on 3rd September with the Academy of Marketing’s ‘Arts, Heritage, non-Profit and Social Marketing’ Special Interest Group (at attendees own cost).
