Louise Isham:

When: Thursday 9th June
Where: 7th Floor, Room 714/5 Muirhead Tower, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2TT beginning at 13:00.

Many people at the University of Birmingham have an interest in carers. We want to meet up to build skills, knowledge and resources around carers. This group is called the Carers’ Research Network. (CRN). We are holding an event to launch the Network and to identify its themes, goals and future work. The event is open to all those who are interested in the project. We welcome carers and former carers who may want to be involved in future research, promotion and awareness of carers’ issues.

To register your place please contact Louise Isham via email at or by phone on 07861 657717.

What will the event look like?

Professor Fiona Carmichael will open the event. A former carer Pat Caplan will speak about the realities of being a carer. Light Refreshments will be provided. Participants will jointly make decisions about the priorities and future directions of the network with researchers and other members.
