Is there a road from conference rejection to an award winning 4* publication?

Room 422 Education Building
Tuesday 12 February 2019 (09:30-11:30)

This event is part of the Department of Strategy and International Business PhD Seminar series.

Speaker: Prof. Michael Mol, Birmingham Business School

Professor Michael Mol will revisit the route he and his co-authors walked to go from getting a paper rejected from the Academy of Management conference to eventually receiving the best article award from Academy of Management Review. The main point is to detail all the learning that needs to take place in order to handle reviewer comments and improve your paper. A secondary point revolves around the broader question 'what a theory section of a paper needs to look like and what makes for good theory'.
