Responsible Business Student Challenge

Over the next decade, the relationship between business and the natural world will be a defining one. Defining for the success of individual companies, industries, and above all, for the future of our planet. Businesses need to change for the better – to innovate, reduce emissions, strengthen resilience and build trust in business and the economy.  Businesses need to focus on what matters most and drive the change required to meet society’s expectations, deliver inclusive growth and thrive in a low carbon economy.

The Business School, in partnership with Deloitte, runs the Responsible Business Student Challenge as part of promoting curiosity and supporting you, our students, in becoming the next generation of forward-thinking, responsible leaders.

Sabeeha Hussain, BSc Economics, 2022 winner

“I really loved having the chance to combine my interest in climate change with the work I did during my degree…. The challenge gave me a great opportunity to dig deeper and see what businesses are really doing to address climate change, and to see if their actions are meaningful. The skills and knowledge I gained during my time at Deloitte have been extremely beneficial, and have really helped me to grow both professionally and as a person. It’s been a great experience from start to finish, and I would really recommend getting involved.”

Sabeeha has since been accepted onto the Deloitte graduate scheme.
