Affordances and Cognition Reading Group (co-hosted with the University of Helsinki)

Dates
Thursday 24 March 2022 (11:00-12:30)

The Centre for Digital Cultures is currently hosting a visiting PhD student, Esko Suoranta, from the University of Helsinki.

Esko is studying the relationship between the theory of cognitive affordances and the experience of literature and literary reading, and in particular of science fiction. This first reading group session will introduce the idea of affordances, allow time for discussion, and also include some time for planning a second session for further discussion with other researchers based at the University of Helsinki.

If you would like to join this session, please email Matt Hayler (m.s.hayler@bham.ac.uk) who will share the reading and room details.
