Augustine Farinola had his BA (First Class Honors) and MA in Philosophy of Science from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has over ten years of work experience as ICT Manager, Computer Tutor, Information Officer, and IT Research Assistance. He has taught Philosophy and Digital Courses to undergraduate students at Dominican University, Nigeria. He is currently deploying a project in Digital Humanities and Postphenomenology in the Department of English Literature, University of Birmingham.

My research focuses on post phenomenological analysis of Digital Humanities (DH) Technological tools used for Textual Interpretation and Linguistic Analysis. Exploring the 20th and 21st centuries literary works, I hope to unveil the implication of these technologies on the following philosophical concepts: Intelligence, Thinking, Perception, Consciousness, Presence, Embodiment and Reality. My interest is to show the connection between technology, humans, and the worldview of a society, so as to develop an epistemological and ontological framework for developers and users of digital technologies designed for research and learning. My broad areas of interest include: Digital humanities, Digital Technologies, Posthumanism, African Epistemology and Literature.
