Nouf Alharbi

Nouf graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language (2012). Her BA research project on how early intervention affects acquisition of language in autistic children: a contrastive study between child early intervention medical centre and Dubai Autism Centre received a scholarship from King Salman Center for Disability Research to study in the UK. Prior her graduation, Nouf received a scholarship from King Abdulaziz University to study for a year at the University of Nottingham, the UK (2011-2012).  She graduated with Master of Arts degree in Psycholinguistics (2015) from the University of Essex. She received a scholarship from the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia to study the PhD (2017). She was nominated for the second time to receive the research project grants from the King Salman Centre for Disability Research for students working on their Doctoral degrees (2018).

Nouf's research investigates the acquisition of nouns in standard Arabic as a second language. It focuses on how 7-12 years old children learners acquire nouns, and whether saying words outloud has an effect on the acquisition of L2 when learned in a number of conditions: heard, orally produced, read, and written.
