Over the years I have taught in Greece, Kuwait, Qatar, China and the UK. Research My thesis applies the ‘appraisal theory’ (Martin and White, 2005) to investigate the employment of evaluative language in undergraduate writing across disciplines using data from the British Academic Written English (BAWE) corpus.
