B-Film: The Birmingham Centre for Film Studies presents another special event dedicated to adaptation.

The event features a special screening of Gemma Bovery, directed by Anne Fontaine and starring Gemma Arterton, introduced by the event's organiser B-Film's Dr Andrew Watts.

The screening will be followed by an interview and Q&A with Posy Simmonds, graphic novelist and acclaimed author of Gemma Bovery. Simmonds will be joined for the Q&A by Andrew (co-author of Adapting Nineteenth-Century France) and Professor Tim Unwin of the University of Bristol, editor of The Cambridge Companion to Flaubert.
