You are invited to a seminar and drinks reception to mark the launch of World Yearbook of Education 2020, edited by Julie Allan, Valerie Harwood and Clara Rübner Jørgensen.

Promoting education: Critical Cultural Social Marketing & The Lead My Learning campaign

Speaker: Professor Valerie Harwood, University of Sydney

Valerie Harwood is a Professor of Sociology and Anthropology of Education and an Australian Research Council Future Fellow, Sydney School of Education and Social Work, The University of Sydney. Valerie’s research is centred on a social and cultural analysis of participation in educational futures. This work involves learning about collaborative approaches and in-depth fieldwork on educational justice with young people, families and communities. She is a professorial research fellow with Ngarruwan Ngadju First Peoples Health and Wellbeing Research Centre, University of Wollongong, Australia.
