Disability Under Siege is a Network Plus project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) as part of Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF).

This collective project aims to build equitable partnerships between the Global South and the Global North, and encourage collaborations between universities, NGOs, educators, artists and grassroots activists, in particular people with disabilities.

We hope you will be able to join us when our partners will present key findings from their reviews of literature and practice related to disability in Jordan, Lebanon and Occupied Palestinian Territories and propose research themes in relation to our forthcoming commissioning call.

  • Disability Under Siege Guest Speakers: Professor Hisham Mehanna, Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor (Interdisciplinary Research) and Director, The Institute for Global Innovation (IGI) & the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS), University of Birmingham, UK. Followed by Professor Abdullatif Husseini, Director, Institute of Community and Public Health, Birzeit University, West Bank, Palestine.
  • Presentation of key findings from review of literature and practice related to disability in Jordan, Lebanon and Occupied Palestinian Territories

We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully.
