The BRIHC Friday Writing Group is open to PGRs, ECRs, and staff from across the School of History and Cultures. The group meets online each Friday morning between 10.00 and 12.00.
The session starts with a quick chat at 10am, where we all state our aims for the writing session. This is not always ‘writing’ but sometimes catching up on e-mails etc. We leave zoom running while we work to help focus the mind, then at around 11.50am we switch our mics back on and say how we have got on.
The group is a really lovely way of not only finding time to dedicate to research and writing, but also offers a great way to meet colleagues from other departments across SHaC and to find out about research that is going on throughout the School. Anyone wishing to join us on Fridays should send Sarah Fox an e-mail at s.fox.3@bham.ac.uk and she will add them to the zoom invite.
