In June 2016 Birmingham Law School is hosting the  Crime and Control Ethnography symposium, following a successful conference held at Leicester in 2015.

The symposium will consider all issues related to crime, criminal justice and beyond.

The speakers for the conference include Professor Yvonne Jewkes (University of Brighton), Professor Dick Hobbs (University of Western Sydney) and Dr Ben Crewe (University of Cambridge) amongst many others.

All postgraduates and academics conducting ethnographic research, especially those relating to crime and control, are welcome to come and present their research in an informal, discussion led environment.
