Biography

Nia qualified as a solicitor at the Birmingham office of Pinsent Masons, specialising in employment law.  She moved to Burges Salmon in Bristol for a few years, later returning to Pinsent Masons where she became a Senior Associate.  She appeared frequently in the Employment Tribunal although she favoured corporate support work over litigation.  Nia particularly enjoyed delivering client training on employment law issues and so a move into legal education was a natural step for her.  She has taught A Level Law at Highclare School and on the LLB and LPC programmes at the University of Law.  She joined the University of Birmingham as a Teaching Fellow in 2021 having worked as a Visiting Lecturer prior to that.
