Our photographic practices come together as a dialogue between us and the world we inherit. A world of excessive and overly saturated representations of queer people, yet so many stories remain untold. Through these collaborative projects we embarked on the question -- how, as artists, do we engage with the void that exists, has always been the core question of our critical practices. Both these works ‘Dissent and Desire’ and ‘Arrival’ touches upon the disparities of not just about the capital and privileges but in the distribution of knowledge and opportunities to express, while also being a testament of how the sliding scales of these spectrums co-exists, ruthlessly if not harmoniously. They were initiated amongst them to relate and reflect upon their life journeys, the personal and political consequences of queerness and produces queer lives as praxis.
