Joel Sachs returns to the University following his appearance in the inaugural CrossCurrents festival in 2016 for a  mesmerising performance of Ives’ ragtime and hymn inspired first sonata. Joel teaches new music performance, chamber
music, and music history at the Juilliard School of Music, New York. As a pianist and conductor and through his work as co-director of the Continuum Ensemble, he has performed throughout North and South America, Europe, and in Asia.
