Description
Students will be introduced to the field of developmental psychology. Lectures will cover:
- Key perspectives and issues in the field (e.g. the nature-nurture issue)
- How psychologists study development
- The development of thinking
- Developmental disorders
- Numerical development or drawing
- Intelligence
- Parenting and attachment
- Moral development
- Anti-social behaviour
Delivery
- 10 x 1 lectures
- 2 x 1 hour workshops
- 10x 1 office hour
Assessment
- Coursework (25%)
- Examination paper (75%)
