Responding to the mental health needs of minorities and refugees in Sandwell: identifying needs and evaluating community based strategies (2009 - 2011)

Funded by Sandwell Health Authority

This study is evaluating innovative community development approaches to enhancing the wellbeing of people within identified minority groups. The groups targeted are those where there may be a greater likelihood of experiencing mental health difficulties - perhaps due to social exclusion, discrimination or multiple disadvantage - and include minority ethnic communities, refugees, deaf people, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people.
