This study examines the role of sensory feedback from lower limb musculature in maintaining postural stability, and how this changes with age.

Errors in sensation as well as movement are some of the multiple factors that result in falls. The ability to accurately detect sensory input from the lower limb (proprioception) is essential for balance. This study examines these functions in both healthy young and older adults.
