Matt Goodman

Assistant Professor of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Matt has a wealth of experience in elite sports physiotherapy having worked as a Head of Medical with Professional Rugby Union for several years.  His research interests are within sports medicine, particularly injury management, rehabilitation and return to play.

MSc Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. Currently undertaking a PhD

Biography

Matt’s research thus far has focused on strength profiling in elite AFL and injury epidemiology in rugby union.

Other activities

Matt is a member of the Education Subcommittee and Southwest Regional Representative for the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sport & Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM).  Matt is also full member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) & International Federation of Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT).
