Adam's primary research focus is clinical trials in early pregnancy care, with a particular focus on miscarriage and infertility. Adam has a split role within the organisation, working as a Trials Management Team Leader at the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit and as a Senior Clinical Trials Fellow in the Tommy's National Centre for Miscarriage Research, led by Prof Arri Coomarasamy.

Adam Devall qualified with a BMedSc (Hons) in Medical Sciences from the University of Birmingham in 2003. He went on to study for a PhD in the Department of Pharmacology at Birmingham, which he was awarded in 2007. Following this, he took a position as a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham in the Department of Neurobiology and Neuropharmacology before taking up the role of Trial Coordinator at the Cancer Research Clinical Trials Unit, University of Birmingham in 2011. In 2014, Adam moved to the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit, working as the Senior Trial Manager for the PRISM trial. In 2016, Adam transitioned to his current role of Team Leader/Senior Clinical Trials Fellow.
