Current projects:

Naijie (Katherine) is currently involved in the following projects:  

  • Therapies for Long COVID in non-hospitalised individuals (the TLC Study). This study investigates the underlying causes of Long COVID to improve the care and treatment of non-hospitalised patients. Her main role involves investigating the impact of long COVID on healthcare resource utilisation and the costs associated with primary care resource use.
  • OPTIMising therapies, disease trajectories, and AI assisted clinical management for patients Living with complex multimorbidity (the OPTIMAL study). The OPTIMAL study aims to understand how different combinations of long-term conditions and the medicines taken for these diseases interact overtime to worsen or improve a patient’s health.
  • Automated Data Analytics Platform for Health Economic Research (the ADAPTHER study). This feasibility study aims to explore the economic cost of sickness absence and the feasibility of automating the health economic analysis using the Dexter platform (Data Extractor for Epidemiological Research).
  • Research on the inter-relationship between financial literacy, household finances, and mental health.
