Sayeed Haque is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Statistics.

Biography

Sayeed Haque qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Statistics in 1982 and MSc in Statistics in 1984 from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.  He was appointed Lecturer in Statistics in the University of Dhaka in 1984. In 1987 Sayeed was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship to study for a PhD in Statistics in the University of Birmingham.  Between 1991 and 1996 Sayeed worked as a Research Fellow in the University of Strathclyde, University College London, University of Liverpool and University of Kent at Canterbury.   In 1997 Sayeed joined the South Birmingham Mental Health Trust (now Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust) as an applied Statistician. Sayeed joined the University of Birmingham  in 2001 as a Research Fellow in the Department Psychiatry. In 2006 Sayeed moved to the department of Primary Care. In 2012 Sayeed was promoted to Senior Lecturer.

Sayeed is the Statistical Advisor for the Health Science Faculty of Birmingham City University, the South Staffordshire and Shropshire Foundation NHS Trust and the College of Optometrists. He is also a Governor of Cadbury Sixth Form College in Birmingham.
