Dr Cong Mou currently works within a multidisciplinary team investigating how lived-experience recovery organisations support people affected by addiction and contribute to wider recovery-oriented systems of care. Before joining this project, they completed their PhD at the University of Nottingham, where research focused on gambling-related harm. Dr Mou used a range of methods, including psychometrics, longitudinal analysis and natural language processing. Prior to their PhD, Dr Mou worked as a research assistant in the Mathematical Cognition Laboratory and Social Neuroscience Laboratory at Beijing Normal University. There, Dr Mou contributed to MRI data analysis and the development of behavioural experiments using PsychoPy. Dr Mou's interdisciplinary background enables them to approach research questions from different perspectives and develop innovative methodological solutions beyond the boundaries of any single discipline.
