Biography

Kelvin studied medicine at the University of Nairobi, Kenya and qualified with a MBChB degree in 2010. After graduation he worked as a house officer before joining Kenya’s Military Service. He served on a tour of duty with Kenya’s military battalion in South Sudan before joining an international aid organization to support the humanitarian health emergency response in South Sudan, providing urgently needed medical and surgical assistance. Kelvin completed his MPH degree at the University of Birmingham in 2017. He is a postgraduate researcher at the institute of Applied Health research, University of Birmingham. His research interests are on reproductive factors and their impact on long term maternal health with a focus on cardiometabolic outcomes. He is also interested in the design and analysis of observational studies using routinely collected health data.
