Sam joined the Health Economics Unit in September 2022 to work on the SAMA Project in collaboration with the University of Leeds and the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore. His work on the project tests the feasibility of utilising health economics techniques to evaluate school-based interventions supporting the emotional wellbeing of adolescents in India. He is also currently in the write-up stage for his PhD in Economics at the University of Birmingham, which analyses the impact of policy shocks on mental health and wellbeing using panel data econometric techniques.
