I am currently working as the Project Officer for the BIA. Before this, I worked as an ESAP/EFL Teaching Associate at the University of Birmingham. I am PRINCE2 certified in project management and currently I am working on the BIA Review Project with the Academic Director, Operations and Development Director, Operations Manager and Academic Programme Managers.

Born in Luton, UK, I spent a lot of my childhood in the Middle East, briefly returning to the UK to complete secondary and further education in Birmingham and Manchester before travelling to and working in Europe. After completing my university degree, I taught English and managed international book projects for well-known ELT international publishers. I spent many years in Thessaloniki, Greece, where I gained further professional certification in CTESOL, DELTA and PRINCE2. In Greece, I worked as a publishing services project manager and ELT book editor and writer, largely specialising in content creation for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and North Africa) market.


I have:
  • delivered university preparatory foundation courses in ESAP for under-graduates and post-graduates both abroad and in the UK
  • worked as EAP Tutor, Assistant to the Director of Studies (AsDOS)
  • worked as IELTS Course Coordinator for the University of Sheffield International Faculty, City College in Thessaloniki, Greece
  • taught modules on British Culture, and on insessional, short courses and presessional courses in EAP and ESAP at the University of Chichester, the University of Wolverhampton and the University of Birmingham
  • designed and delivered short courses in ELT teacher training to middle school teachers of English from Spain and China
  • worked as a Cambridge examiner for the British Council in Portugal, Egypt and Greece
  • written English language testing material for entry to the Foundation presessional courses at the University of Wolverhampton
