He is also a co-applicant and TMG member for the ROSSINI-2 RCT. This is a multi-arm, multi-stage trial design to investigate multiple peri-operative interventions for a reduction in surgical site infection.

He is a senior member of the steering committee for two cohort studies- RIFT and RICOCHET.

  • RIFT is an international study investigating patients with right iliac fossa pain. It involved 7 countries, over 400 collaborators and over 11 000 patients.
  • RICOCHET is a cross specialty study of patients with pancreatic cancer and malignant biliary obstruction. It is looking at the pathway and management of patients and involves approximately 100 centres across the UK.
