Vahid Ravaghi is a Lecturer in Dental Public Health at the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry in the Institute of Clinical Sciences. He leads the module of Public Health and Epidemiology and teaches both dental and dental hygiene students.

His research is focused on two main areas: global oral health and health inequalities. He is currently working on a funded project aiming to strengthen dental care in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Postgraduate supervision

Dr Ravaghi is interested in supervising PhD projects related to dental public health. He is especially interested in supervising PhD students who want to study:

- oral health inequalities and social determinates of oral health.
